DRAFT NATIONAL POWER TRAINING POLICY FOR THE NIGERIAN POWER SECTOR
Introduction
Dear Sir/Ma,
In furtherance of the Federal Government of Nigeria’s Vision 20-20-20 and its Road Map for transformation of the Power Sector, National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN), a Federal Government owned Institution under Federal Ministry of Power, has been charged with the responsibility of producing for the Honourable Minister of Power’s accent a National Power Training Policy document. Electricity Reform Act 2005 provides the Honourable Minister of Power with the authority to sign a training policy into law.

Consequently, we humbly request for your comments, addition if any on the Draft Policy document, which can be downloaded below. The draft apart from being the outcome of discussions with some of the stakeholders in Electricity Power Industry is one of the major inputs that will address a lasting solution to the perennial shortage of power supply in the country and institutionalize training as a major component in the business process of energy service providers.
For complete acceptance of the document and compliance by all players in the Electricity Industry, your comments and suggestions and others will be collated, circulated and discussed in All Stakeholders Workshop that will be held in the beginning of last quarter of 2011.
